Are You Living Your Life By Design Or By Default? - Articles Surfing

When you want to buy a new house, what do you do? Do you go through the real estate magazine, close your eyes and point your finger? And wherever your finger lands is the house you are going to buy? Whether it's a 1-bedroom appartment or a million-dollar mansion? Whether it's near the city or in a remote location? Is that the house you're going to buy? Nobody buys a house that way. So why is it that so many of us are living their life like that? How many bedrooms do I want? What area do I want to live? When you have all the characteristics of your ideal house, you know exactly what you're looking for and you'll know when you've found it! What can you do when you want to live your life by design and not (longer) by default?

3 Powerful Tips:

1. Design your life!

To create your ideal life, you'll have to know what it looks like. How else will you recognize your ideal job, business or relationship? If you are planning to buy a house you decide what you want your house to look like, don't you? Take 1 hour this week and think about what your ideal life would look like. Write down where you'd like to live, what you'd love to do, what kind of relationship you want to have and everything else that is important for you.

2. Create it now!

Some people feel they've been given a second chance when they were diagnosed with a life threatening disease or had a serious accident, but have recovered and are still alive. Suddenly they realize how short and unpredictable life really is and it becomes clear what's really valuable in their lives. You don't need to wait for something big to happen before you take control of your life. Whatever it is you want in your life, start creating it today!
Don't wait for the perfect circumstances. Make a plan and take action towards the achievement of this goal every day, even if it's just a little step, take one step every day.

3. Enjoy and have fun!

Nobody regrets, on their death bed, that they don't have more money or that they didn't spend more time in the office. What they often do regret is that they didn't spend more time with their loved ones, didn't take the time to do what they really wanted or visit the places they wanted to go to. Life is too short to let it slip by. Set the right priorities. Be who you really are and do what you love to do! When you enjoy the process of designing and creating your life, you'll attract whatever it is you need to make your dreams come true. So start today and have fun with it!
